When the ticket total does not match the actual total of the transactions on the ticket you can force the ProfitSystem to recalculate the ticket total. You accomplish this my clicking in a secret area on the ticket while holding down the left shift key. Please see graphic for visual instructions.
Another tool that may be used to help with ticket totals is the RAW data editor, which may be displayed by holding down the LEFT SHIFT key and clicking the line number of the ticket transaction to edit.
BBL recommends only editing fields of retail price, payment amounts or transaction date. You must be careful editing this data since there is no validation or processing. It allows the user to enter ANYTHING and it is only affects what is seen on the ticket screen. Additional editing may have to take place on the Ticket by Number form via the Edit Postings button to delete transactions or to change dates or amounts that are contained in the Revenue Report.
Finally, by holding down the LEFT CTRL key and clicking the line number a user may change the item's cost of sale. Cost of Sales figures are used for sales reports and accounting reports. Occasionally a service or other type item is sold where the cost may be not have been placed in the inventory and a user wants to insure the proper cost is availabe for reporting.
